Cedar Lake:
It was all about the Muskies this week. Our avid “Muskie Hunter”, Morgan stayed on for another week. He books his fishing trips according to the moon phases. He was here over a full moon and there must be something to be said for that. In two weeks he boated 31 Muskies. He caught numerous fish in the 44-47 inch range and one over 50 inches. He caught a couple of beautiful Tiger Muskies as well. The Walleye fishing was still good. They are in deeper now, but still biting great!
Indian Lake Chain:
Evening and early morning Walleye fishing was best on the Chain this week. They have gone deep, anywhere from 24-28 feet. The largest Walleye caught was 25 inches on Boulder Lake. The Muskie are also hanging out in the deeper waters. The biggest caught was 42-inches on Indian Lake. There was lots of Northern Pike action in the reeds. The weather was extremely hot this week, but some cooler temperatures in the forecast.
Upper Wapesi:
With over 800 fish caught, this group had a lot of fun. Their favorite Walleye bait was a red jig with a minnow. They fished in 15 feet of water all over the lake on shorelines, reefs, and weedbeds. Their biggest Walleye was 25-inches. They even went into Pusher Lake and had good fishing over there. They had hot temperatures and South winds. The box fan at the cabin was a lifesaver! They loved fishing those lakes and appreciated the great service. They said it was well worth the drive.
