Cedar:
Fishing was great again on Cedar. Our guests caught lots of Walleye and quite a few big ones again. The hot weather was great for Muskie fishing too. We had a few new people that had never fished Cedar before and they ended up doing well after doing some exploring and talking with other guests. We heard the bass fishing was great. All in all, a great week on Cedar.
Indian Chain:
Another action packed week for Muskie on the Chain. The biggest one was 48 inches. There were also lots of big Walleye caught. Crank baits and Colorado spinners on the drop offs produced the best Walleye catches. They aren’t being found on the reefs as much as they should be this time of year.
Kapikik:
This family of 4 explored the entire lake. They caught too many fish to even count – at least 100 per day. They were fishing with yellow road runners with either minnows or leeches. They fished in 10 feet of water and their favorite spots were the Kaskego Rapids, outlets and the narrows. They caught two 25-inch Walleyes and 8 Pike over 30 inches. They also noted that it was a beautiful lake, lots of fish, top notch cabin & equipment, and they all had a fantastic time. They also saw the caribou around the cabin and walking the beach every day!
Antenna:
This group caught lots of Walleye… too many to keep track of. They used minnows and roostertails and fished in 8-12 feet of water. They fished along shorelines and reefs and the best fishing was in the mornings and evenings. Their biggest Walleye was about 24 inches and their biggest Northern was 37 inches, caught while fishing for Walleye. They had a great time and said the fishing was excellent.
