We wanted to take a minute to wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy & Healthy New Year. It’s hard to believe Christmas is only a few days away. For us it feels like winter has barely even started! We had one of the mildest falls that we’ve ever had. It wasn’t until just over a week ago that we finally had enough ice on Edward Lake to put the ice shacks out and start fishing.

This past year has been great for us. The summer flew by as always as we kept very busy at the Camps and Outposts. It’s always great to see our repeat clientele and also meet lots of new faces. The weather was good to us and the fishing was great across the board.  

The mild fall allowed the guys to get lots of work done at the Outposts and they did some upgrades to the Drive-Ins as well, including a new duplex cabin at Northern Lights Resort.

We’ve been enjoying the “slower pace” that wintertime brings us. We’ve been doing some ice fishing in front of K.C.’s Landing, a little fur trapping, and the guys are minnow trapping now through the ice. We’ve been able to spend lots of time with our 10-month-old granddaughter, Ella and we look forward to spending her first Christmas with her.

Starting in January, our schedule will become a little more hectic with sports shows, trips up North to work on the Outposts, and also finishing up the new cabin on Cedar. We are excited to carry that momentum right into the spring and take on another busy summer!
