Throughout December and part of January, the guys weren't able to spend much time up at Northern Lights Resort and so progress on the new building was put on hold for a while. A couple of weeks ago they got the insulation finished and put in a wood stove giving them a nice cozy place to work. They've been up there quite a bit now with having a break in the sports show season and the minnow trapping all caught up.
The main focus has been on getting the pine on the walls and varnishing as they go along. They are also putting up the wood on the ceiling. The pine can be a tedious job, but they sure seem to be moving fast.

We will keep you updated as the progress continues. Yesterday (February 1st) marks the one year anniversary from when Wayne and Meagan landed at the cabin on Kapikik Lake and put the first pieces of pine on the walls there. Hard to believe only a couple months later the cabin was completely finished. Even though this building is much bigger, maybe it will go just as fast considering they don't need an airplane to get there or a crazy 18-hour adventure by winter road.
Stay tuned for more progress reports! We don't anticipate the type of adventure stories that we had last year, but it's still fun to watch the progress.
