What a day! The temperature reached about 68 degrees today with lots of sun! It finally feels like spring. Although the ice thickness hasn’t changed much on most area lakes, the snow has (mostly) melted and the sun is starting to take its toll on the ice.
There’s a couple inches of water on the ice and things are happening fast in this heat.
In areas of current, the ice is continuing to thin out fast. We have lots of rain in the forecast (a rainfall warning for tomorrow) and so this will do some major damage to the ice.
